"What goes around comes around"

There was a young, poor girl who got married to a rich man. The girl had been through a lot in her life, so after her marriage she was very kind to everyone, especially the poor. But her husband was a mean person. He controlled her, did not give charity, or help the needy.

One day while they were in their million dollar home in Bloomington, Minnesota, there was a knock on the door. The husband was eating so the girl got up to open it. Standing at the door was a poor man begging for some food or anything they could give. As the girl and the poor man were speaking, her husband approached the door and told her to sit back down, then he cursed at the man and slammed the door in his face as he was pleading.

The next morning the young girl woke up and noticed her husband wasn't sleeping beside her. She knew he wasn't working that week so she thought he must of went out for a morning jog, but when she checked the closet, all of his shoes were neatly aligned, nothing was missing. A couple of hours passed and she became very worried, so she went to her neighbors and asked them if they have seen or heard from her husband and they each said "no". Then that's when she thought she should report it to the police because this was very unusual. The police started the search right away but over time they could not find any information or traces about her husband's disappearance. As she waited, weeks turned into months and months turned into years. When two years past, she decided to get remarried which she did so with another wealthy man. And her life started becoming better again, slowly.

Then one day while her and her new husband were in their living room, there was a knock on the door. She got up to open it and at the door was was a barefooted poor man begging for some food. Then she realized this same situation happened to her on the same day when she last seen her husband. And when she saw the mans face at the door, she turned around with tears in her eyes, sat back down and cried. Her husband went to the door gave the poor man some food and money, then came to his wife and asked her "why are you crying?" she looked into his eyes and said "That was my first husband at the door." Then he started crying also, so she asked him "what is the reason your crying?" then he responded "Because the poor man you opened the door for two years ago was me."
