The Train Yard

The Train Yard

There has always been a certain train yard, which was popular to many urban artists and explorers. It has been told that the entire place, including the tracks leading into it, has some sort of paranormal presence. It wasn’t deemed to be true until an urban artist came home with an odd scar and a horrible story to tell.

Now as most people in the area know, these yards and lines have not been used for more than forty years. A young man, age 23, was walking to the location he heard so much about. He had never been there before but he had directions written on restaurant napkin from a more experienced artist he had met up with earlier that day. Not knowing how security measures would be, he decides to head out around 11pm on a Tuesday night. Loaded with aerosol cans of paint and knowing how chill the spot was he grew more and more anxious as he walks down the railroad tracks towards his destination.

After about one and a half hours of walking he started to see a large building with broken windows and old discarded freight trains all around. He decided it was best to hang out for a while and scope the place out to check for activity. He decided he would not go into the building because he is alone and has never been there before. He picks a wall just outside of the main entrance.

As he began the layout to the art he had decided to put up, he heard footsteps coming from behind him. He quickly turned around but was smashed in the head by a can and knocked to the ground. Not unconscious he heard the words “James Meson grab the paint!” Then everything was gone, the voices and his bag of paint he had with him. Unsure of what had happened he decided to run home in fear of other artists out to get him.

As he got home he logged on to a local graffiti forum. He decided he would take the name he heard and look it up to see if anything shows. Excited as he searched he found a thread, which included the name James Meson, the same one he had heard when he got robbed. To his horror he realized that the name was under the “RIP” section of the forum. He read up on it and learned that 4 years ago a man named James meson was exploring the same building he was painting on and was killed falling through the floor on the third story.
