The Last Stop

When I was in elementary school my teachers would always tell us stories of ill behaved students. One of them was involved after school and students were getting on the bus to go home. There was one elementary student that was a kindhearted person but was always to hyper when on the bus. Everyday the bus driver would tell him to keep his head inside the bus.

Today was a different day for the young boy because they had a substitute driver and the young boy was ready to take full advantage of the situation. As the bus pulled off he immediately opened the window and stuck his head out. The bus driver was speeding from one stop to the next. He wanted to get his job done as quickly as possible.

As the driver pulled into the first stop he saw parents waiting for their students with shocked looks on their faces. Apparently, the young boy’s head collided with a tree as the driver had come flying into the stop and tore the child’s head right off his shoulders.

  1. Interesting concept for an U.L. I mean who hasn't been told by a bus driver to get their head, arm, hands, back in the bus. So I think it works. The ending seems rushed and you need a more fitting title than "School Tales 1."

  2. I've been told stories along the same lines but with a bridge and the roof panels but the head landing in laps of other kids. But I still like your version. S.S.
